Namitha's Entry into film
Namitha said "I was born and brought up in Surat, and started modeling after moving to Mumbai. I had also participated in the Miss India contest, and that's how my photographs landed in some Telugu producer's hands.
Thus I got a break in Sontham. Then came Gemini, with Venkatesh in the lead. I entered the Tamil film industry through Engal Anna, where I worked with Vijayakanth.
This year Namitha have already worked in her first Hindi film, Love Ke Chakkar Mein.
